The Knights lost their only game of the week in a tough fought double overtime defeat. The Knights had multiple opportunities to clinch the game, but Paint Branch hit a couple of shots to keep the game going. The Panthers hit a shot with 5 seconds left in regulation to tie and as the buzzer sounded in overtime to send the game to a second overtime. Paint Branch secured the game with free throws in the final overtime period.

The Knights had four players who ultimately fouled out of the contest, but got big minutes out of sophomore guard Matthew Temesgen. He finished the game with 5 points, but 3 were a clutch basket with a foul late in the fourth quarter. He played a big role in beating the Paint Branch 1-2-2 press. Sophomore Yabsira Getahun was disqualified by fouls in the 4th quarter and the Knights struggled rebounding after his departure. Getahun was the Knights leading scorer with 17 points. Sophomore Abenezer Getachew had his first double digit scoring game of his career with 10 points which included 2 critical free throws in the first overtime which put the Knights up by 2 points.

The game was a hard fought battle by the Knights and a tough loss to find themselves at 4-2. The next two games will be over Winter Break in the Holiday Tournament at Northwest High School.
