In a hard fought Battle for Randolph Road, the Knights were victorious over the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers fought valiantly, as they were down a man almost the entire game, earning a red card on a foul on an obvious goal-scoring opportunity created by Dylan Mbangah and Jason Macias. The Knights attacked and created chances throughout the game while repelling the Cavaliers’ speedy forwards. The Knights’ defenders stood strong as a group, but Abraham Amaya stood out as he made several saves on what looked like sure goals, earning a clean sheet to start the season. The lone goal finally came one and one-half minutes into the second half as Dylan Mbangah found Jason Macias bursting toward the Kennedy goal, where he was able to finish for the Knights’ first goal of the year, and the game-winner.
