Wheaton’s Girl’s Track and Field team competed in the 4A State Championships this past weekend. The Lady Knights finished as a team in the 18th place.

Leading Wheaton was sophomore Madison Depry. Madison took second in the 200m dash in a personal best time of 25.09. Madison was fourth in the 100m dash in a personal best of 12.30 and was fourth in the high jump with a leap of 5′ 2″.

Madison anchored the school record breaking 4x100m relay with sophomore Alyssa Poawui and juniors Caroline Djakuduel and Kamil Poawui. They time of 50.47 bettered the previous school record by over a half second.

Caroline Djakuduel also competed in the discus with a 9th place finish. Her toss of 98′ 4″ was her second best mark of her career.
