The first half of the game was all Wheaton’s; ball possession, shots on goal and Rockville did not manage a good shot on goal until the end of the half. The second was the same except Rockville was staring to pressure our midfield more and the game started to be more even. Rockville’s defense was bunkered in at the back and we were not able to shoot clearly on goal. Midway through the second half Rockville earned a corner kick and they placed it perfectly on their midfielder’s head who came in from back side of the goal. With time running out we went on an all out attack and with less than 4 minutes we got a direct kick from about 30 yards out. Ian steppeded up calmly and placed the ball through the two man wall to the goal keepers left side and buried our tying goal.
We went into double overtime but the score did not change. We were glad to have saved a point and went home glad to have tied but we know we should have won this game.
